Catalogue note
A jewel of remarkable presence and rarity, centred by an extraordinary 32.41 ct natural colour-change garnet of the pyrope-spessartine series, in an oval modified brilliant and step cut.
Certified by SSEF, Gübelin Gem Lab and AGL, the stone is documented as transparent, untreated, and displaying a distinct and highly desirable colour-change phenomenon. Under daylight it reads orange-brown to slightly greenish brown; under incandescent light it becomes a deeply saturated red.
The certification letters emphasise the stone's size, transparency, strength of colour change and natural condition with no indications of treatment. SSEF describes it as an exceptional treasure; AGL notes that a colour-change garnet of this size was unprecedented in their examination experience.
Set between brilliant white side stones, the garnet commands attention through its crimson glow and architectural faceting. A ring of rare gemmological importance, made for a collector who values scientific significance alongside visual power.
